The Accelerate PR-V Series PtRu/C catalysts are engineered using highly conductive Vulcan XC-72 carbon as the support and are specially designed for Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFCs) and Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs).
- In DMFC applications, the PtRu alloy effectively promotes the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR), significantly reducing overpotential.
- In PEMFC anodes, PtRu alloys outperform monometallic Pt by exhibiting enhanced CO tolerance, improving fuel utilization and extending fuel cell lifetime.
